Petrunya, 31, is an unemployed historian living with her parents in a small Macedonian town. One day, she spontaneously decides to crush a Christian Orthodox ceremony, which is traditionally attended only by men. Petrunya, like a stoic force of nature, becomes the only woman to offer feminist resistance. In this satirical and sharp picture, director Teona Strugar Mitevska confronts us with a patriarchal and phallocratic society against which Petrunya, portrayed by Zorica Nusheva, courageously revolts.
