Elisa and Samuel, a couple on vacation in the south of France, take in a sociology student named Lola for the summer. Lola's research on gender norms leads to an attraction between her and the couple, sparking doubts about traditional conceptions of love. As Lola introduces the idea of polyamory and the deconstruction of patriarchal privileges, the couple's passionate affair with her becomes an initiation, with Elisa as the most passionate participant.
